starker personal amplifierYou may be having trouble hearing what people are saying – or are starting to miss out on sounds you once heard – but you’re not sure you’re ready to wear a hearing aid yet. That’s where a personal hearing amplifier may help.

If you want to hear better but aren’t sure you’re ready for a hearing aid, there are options in the form of personal hearing amplifiers. You might have seen something about the XTM or even Starkey’s very capable AMP®.

  • Starkey AMP is tiny
  • Personal hearing amplifier
  • One size fits all
  • Fits invisibly in your ear
  • For mild hearing loss
  • Set up at home
  • $295 per device

We recommend the AMP, a hearing solution so tiny it fits invisibly in your ear canal where no one can see it (unless they look really, really closely). It’s comfortable and is designed specifically for first-time hearing solution users.

Invisible in the ear device

AMP fits snugly in your ear canal, so no one but you will know it’s there. It’s comfortable, removable, and available over the counter for just $295 per ear. You can take it home and set it up using online software. Alternatively Clarity audiologists can set up, fit your devices and help you get the most out of them for $150.

You can also ensure your hearing loss doesn’t require a more capable hearing device or get help with help fitting and adjusting through Clarity.

The Starkey AMP is a basic hearing amplifier, not a hearing aid. Like all personal amplifiers, this means that it is a one size fits all device with limited adjustments available. This makes it suitable for initial mild hearing loss to assist in those situations where you just need a little more sound in your life. Be aware though that your hearing loss deteriorates over time and there will come a point when you may require proper hearing aids.

Then a full, comprehensive assessment is required and your hearing aids you get will be fully customisable to your hearing loss.
