Hearing aids and solutions

Hearing aids can provide immense benefit for people suffering from hearing loss.

Which is why it is it is surprising there are so many stories out there of people not satisfied with the benefit they get from their prescribed hearing aids.

At Clarity we aim to prescribe hearing aids only when it is clear, through a comprehensive 1-hour assessment, that hearing aids will provide you actual benefit. Only once that has been determined will our audiologists guide you through the options of devices suitable for your hearing loss.

Wide range of hearing aids available

As an independent audiology clinic Clarity can prescribe devices from all manufacturers including Bernafon, Oticon, Sonic, Phonak, Unitron, GN Resound, Starkey, Widex and Signia.

We ensure our audiologists are trained in all the benefits and features of these devices so they can match the right device to your hearing loss.

We have hundreds of hearing aids with prices in our online hearing aid catalogue available for prescription, from quality entry-level personal amplifiers to the top of the range fully-fledged hearing aids.

You can see the full device range yourself, or if you have already been quoted for a specific hearing aid, compare hearing aid prices here.

The right hearing aid for you

There are lots of things to consider when choosing a hearing aid: budget, lifestyle and of course level, type of hearing loss and more.

Clarity’s audiologists will guide you through the process with a selection of recommendations to suit you.

What do hearing aids cost?

We have heard horror stories of people being quoted $10,000 to $14,000 for a pair of hearing aids. There is no need for hearing aids to cost that much.

At Clarity, we keep the hearing aid costs as low as possible and just charge for our clinical time, our expertise, just like your GP or physiotherapist would. It’s what we call an “unbundled” model of hearing health provision.

Funding options for hearing aids

We are lucky in Australia that our Government programs are pretty good in terms of providing free and low-cost hearing aids for eligible pensioners and others.

The Hearing Services Program and NDIS provide fully funded or subsidised services to many people with hearing loss.

If you are not eligible for these schemes Medicare rebates for audiology, where available, and private health insurance may also help cover costs.

For those in real need, Clarity is proud to have partnered with Better Hearing Australia to develop the Hearing Access Program helping provide hearing aids to people in need at low cost.
